Movie Star Poker Player Tobey Maguire
Tobey
Maguire, the strong, silent brooding face of Spider-Man, is no fish
when it comes to Poker. Maybe hes using that Spidey Sense of his
to help him out! Tobey has recently been playing in the World Poker
Tour, and in October he won the Phil Hellmuth Invitational Tournament
after beating out 123 other players (including poker stars like
Marcel Sabag and Reza Payvar) and he took home $246,000 for the
effort. Phil Hellmuth himself said that he thinks Tobey will become
a great poker star in his own right. Now that's some high praise!
Tobey first made it big in the movies when he
appeared in "The Ice Storm" with Kevin Klein, Sigourney
Weaver, and Christina Ricci. After that he was in a bunch of great
movies that only made his star even brighter, like "Pleasantville,"
"Wonder Boys," "the Cider House Rules," "Spider-Man"
and "Seabiscuit." I would LOVE to be at a table at Hollywood
Poker with him and Neil Patrick
Harris, who plays Spider-Man in the animated series!
