Movie Star Poker Player Mekhi Phifer

Here he is, ladies and gentlemen: the Man! Mekhi Phifer is an incredible poker player: he understands odds and position and most importantly he understands the person he's playing against. When he was on Celebrity Poker Showdown not only did he personally take out everyone he played against in game 5, but he did it AGAIN at the championship by personally taking out Dennis Rodman, Matthew Perry, Kevin Nealon, and then Neil Patrick Harris to win the $100,000 for his charity. That made him the second "ER" cast member to win a championship there (the first was Maura Tierney.)

Mekhi Phifer got his first big break in the movies as the lead in Spike Lee's "Clockers." After that his career took off big time and he appeared in "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer" wth Jennifer Love Hewitt, "8 Mile" with Eminem and Brittany Murphy, and has been a regular on "ER" since 2002.
