Movie Star Poker Player Ben Affleck
Ben
Affleck is by far one of the best poker players in Hollywood, and
not just that: he's now, officially, the best in the State! In 2004
he won the California State Poker Championship and took home $365,400,
not to mention a seat in the Bellagio/WPT championship in April.
Beating out poker stars and full-time poker players. But when you've
got poker tutors like Annie Duke and Amir Vahedi, what do you expect??
Even though I haven't seen him playing at Hollywood Poker YET, I've
heard rumors in the forums that he may have snuck in already!
Ben Affleck hit it big in Hollywood - like you
need ME to tell you - when him & his long-time buddy Matt
Damon co-wrote, co-starred, co-directed, and co-catered the
smash hit "Good Will Hunting" (which they both won Best
Screenplay Oscars for) and they both obviously went on to make stellar
careers out of it! (Matt's a TERRIFIC poker player too, by the way.)
& sure, he was in "Armageddon" with Bruce Willis and
Liv Tyler, and "Daredevil" with Colin Farrell and Jennifer
Garner. But my favorite Ben Affleck movie will always be "Dazed
and Confused" where, before he got famous, he played Fred O'Bannion,
the spank-happy bane of teenaged boys!
